Job description
Workplace Facility operations have the responsibility to ensure that our operations are running as efficiently as possible. Everything from logistical flows, internal storage handling, warehouses to waste management. In the role as Workplace Facility Operations Generalist you collaborate with the different stakeholder at our offices and venues within IKEA Älmhult AB making sure we follow the matrix guidelines, rules and regulations and ways of working. IKEA Älmhult AB have several premises, which include: IKEA Hotell, IKEA Museum, Vita Huset, Grillen, Meeting Centre, Aktivitetshuset, Business Location and Archive & Collections. You will be responsible for these are kept in shape as new, following the year cycle within Workplace Operations responsibilities.
You are also responsible for developing and implementing new routines and processes together with our Safety & Security team in or der to ensure that facilities are in condition to meet the expectations of visitors and co-workers.
Together with other WPO (Workplace Operations teams) and relevant stakeholders you secure a pro-active planning in relations to year cycle and other planned actions on a continuous basis. You contribute to a safe and healthy environment, act according to the IKEA culture and values and actively create and maintain trustful relationships with all stakeholder. You also manage applicable assignments in digital tools according to routines.
Specific responsibilities will be:
- Executing re-furnishings and adaptations of meetings and events
- Responsible for running operations for hardware equipment connected to desks and meeting rooms, solving problems and enable good collaboration with IT Operations when needed.
- Execute the work with all logistics flows, e.g. internal storage handling, document and store according to routines in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Execute logistics, booking and coordinating transports as well as follow up on that booked transports are arranged as agreed.
Qualification
We are looking for you who have both an educational background and working experience of Facility management and/or logistics operations. You really enjoy leading your own assignment as well as working together and through others to reach business results. You have a strong service focus, and you like to solve problems on the go through creative thinking and prioritization. Technical knowledge is important, and you have experience of maintaining hardware equipment in previous work experiences.
You have knowledge of Quality Management and have good digital knowledge and thereby the ability to handle both administrative tools as well as other digital tools related to the work.
As a person you are someone who is able to build trustful relationships and co-operate with many different stakeholders from different units and backgrounds. You are structured and organized and used to having to prioritize between competing tasks on a regular basis.
Prerequisites for the role:
- Good communication skills both in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
- Minimum B driver’s license
- Forklift license
