At IKEA Älmhult AB we serve our guests in many of our facilities, such as: Köket at IKEA Museum, the Lobby restaurant at IKEA Hotell, Grillen, MUMS and Aktivitetshuset. Now we are looking for you who is passionate about food and creating an excellent food experience for our guests during breakfast, lunch and evening service. As a chef you will play an important role in preparing, cooking and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for all our guests in our different facilities. You will be part of our kitchen team, where we all strive to give our guest a Smålandish gastronomic experience.
Your specific responsibilities will be:
- Preparation and cooking of dishes during breakfast, lunch and dinner, all days of the week
- Support the development of our menues
- Making sure our kitchens are spotless and ready for service
Making sure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are of high quality and follows all our safety regulations connected to food
Qualification
We are looking for you who want to be a part of creating an exciting food experiences with Småland in focus. You love service and that you together with your colleagues are being able to meet your guests and customers everyday!
Your personality is of great importance to us. To succeed in this role we expect you to take initiative to get things done, and that you are curious to find new better ways of doing things. You have the ability to solve problems that arise on a daily basis.
You like working together with your colleagues, you are a great team-member and have a passion for creating a food and guest experiences together with and through your colleagues, both in the kitchen and in the restaurant.
Specific job qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as a chef in a restaurant kitchen where all dishes are prepared from scratch
- Documented educational background as a chef or equivalent extensive work experience
- Documented knowledge in food safety, HAACP
We expect you to speak both Swedish and English fluently, and it is a plus if you master some additional language. You are also comfortable working with computers. You must be over 18 years of age and hold a valid work permit, making you eligible for work in Sweden. And of course you share our passion for IKEA
